A Day in the Life: A Food Play by Play

Today I was super intentional about my snacks and meals. So I wanted to share an example of what a day where I’m on top of my nutritional game looks like.


Breakfast: My favorite protein shake combo! Dairy Free Vanilla Chai IsaLean Shake, 7oz of water & 2.5 Scoops of Orange AMPED Hydrate.


My snack at work which I usually have around 9:30am: Snyder’s Gluten Free Pretzel Sticks. I typically munch on 10-15 pretzels.


Needed an E+ Shot pick me up around 10:30am.


My lunch at work: This isn’t a typical lunch, but somewhat similar to it. Blueberries, Apple Slices, Grapes & Cheese Cubes.



I worked out for the first time since Saturday! I tried Jillian Michaels’ Extreme Shed & Shred for the first time! I made it through Level 1 & about 8 minutes of Level 2 before I aggravated my injury & needed to stop. But I tried my best, got sweaty & ended up moving my body for 30+ min.


Finally, dinner was another shake. Which is not typical, but I’m meeting up with friends late for a drink & don’t want to be starving & chow down unhealthy appetizers.


So I had a Dairy Free Rich Chocolate IsaLean shake just mixed with 7oz of water. It was my first time trying the chocolate as I recently switched to Dairy Free Shakes, and this Chocolate Lover approves 👍🏻


I hope by sharing my food/snack choices it helped inspire and/or motivate you to make healthier choices.


Some days all I want is chocolate bars all day. It takes not giving into that craving over and over to make healthy living a habit.


I find the more I don’t give into my cravings, and make healthy choices the easier it is to stay consistent and keep making healthy ones.


So if you fall off the bandwagon, don’t beat yourself up. It happens to all of us. The most important thing is that we recognize our downfall and get right back on. You can do it!
