But First...Let Me Take a Rest

It’s okay to take a rest.
No, really, it is.
Last week, I worked out Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and had not worked out since.
Thursday was a wash with the holiday.
Friday, I was all ready to workout and then an unintentional, yet much needed nap happened. Then I wanted to go for ice cream, so I did that with my mom.
I skipped Zumba Saturday morning because I did not have any clean sports bras. For real, that is why I did not go to class.
Then yesterday (Sunday) morning, instead of working out, I applied for some part-time gigs.
I very well could have beaten myself up and should all over myself, “I should be working out instead of this.”
But we all...
A. Need a rest sometimes
AND
B. Fall off the bandwagon.
What is important is that we get right on track.
Also, in those times where we are on a workout rest, it is important to be even more conscious of what we are putting in our bodies.
I was super conscious of what I ate this past week, even with the holiday.
And I am happy to say, despite having not worked out, I feel great. I do not feel like a blob/like I gained 20 pounds.
If you find you have missed several workouts, stop beating yourself up for it and get right back on the saddle.
Xo,
Elizabeth
