Find the Strength...

Tonight I went to Body Pump...
I have only taken Pump twice before. Once in 2013, with Toni and Monica. Then again this past March.
In the interim, my weights workouts have been Cardio Chisel (although it has not been offered in almost 5 years), personal training, and self-created workouts at home or at the gym.
I avoided Body Pump from 2013 to 2019, because it is where I originally hurt my shoulder.
After working with my trainer for 2+ years, I know my strengths, weaknesses, limitations and proper form.
So I can confidently do the exercises even if I am new to the Body Pump class or instructor.
Truth be told, I have been wanting to take this instructor’s class for a few weeks since finishing physical therapy (due to a whiplash injury).
A few Wednesdays ago, I went to the gym around the time this Body Pump class was starting, and chickened out. I just did my own workout.
Today, I said I was going to Pump and almost sold out on myself. I did some pre-Pump cardio on the stationary bike and ALMOST walked over to the turf for weights.
Instead, I committed to my word. I walked into the classes studio and set up my equipment.
One of my Zumba girlies happened to be in class too, and the instructor played a Backstreet Boys song.
So glad I pushed through the little bit of fear that had me wanting to run away. So glad I walked into Body Pump. Because this instructor made class fun, was super helpful with cues and reminding us of form.
How can push through the fears and get out of your fitness comfort zone?
Where have you been selling out on yourself?
Where can you go instead of running in the other direction?
Xo,
Elizabeth
