Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

I just realized I didn’t blog much this week.


A lot of people post on the social media account of their choice daily, out of feeling “obligated” to inspire/motivate every day. They feel as though they’re letting down their tribe if they miss a day.


I tend to post when I’m inspired and have something on my heart. As PK says, when the tap is on and flowing.


When thinking about why I didn’t blog much this week I realized it’s because I had a down week.


I ate a lot of chocolate.


I drank pop when I had migraines.


I only exercised once.


I tried something new & had Buffalo Chicken calzones for dinner TWICE.


As a result of my choices, I woke up yesterday so bloated! I wanted to cry.


But what I realized this morning is that it’s called a fitness journey for a reason. We’re all going to have our ups and downs.


It’s in those moments of vulnerability and authenticity where we inspire others.


Instead of feeling ashamed, we should give ourselves grace. We are all human.


Our most important job should be to strive to love our bodies for all that they are no matter what they look like or how we feel.


We always have the tools OR can ask for help to gain the tools to get ourselves back to the feeling our best when we feel down.


So I started today with Zumba. Cheers to better choices, more exercise and using my tools this week!
